Shivali Mathur

Shivali Mathur has been the Director of STROKEARTS STUDIO PTE LTD since October 2014, where she works as an artist entrepreneur. With over 25 years of experience in the art world, Shivali has participated in numerous exhibitions and events over the years. In 2015, she participated in the President Charity Exhibition, showcasing nine of her paintings, including one titled ‘Integration’ which was printed on EZ-Link Cards, and two other paintings featured on Singapore Postal Stamps. Shivali has also exhibited her artwork at various international events such as the Gwangju International art Festival in South Korea (2022), Art Fiesta 2022 curated by Tista Art Gallery, Varnam 2022 at Singapore, and Let’s go Gwalior by Jaipur Art Summit, India (2022). She is a co-author to a book on Indian Folk Art. Indian Folk Art Painting- An Introduction. 

Apart from exhibitions, Shivali has been recognized for her work with numerous awards, including the Singapore Prestige Class Award and Aspiring Woman Entrepreneurs Award in 2021/2022. In 2019, her name was entered in the Singapore Book of Records for creating the longest handmade Toran (door decoration) measuring 20 meters, as a member of CACC Sengkang West Community. Additionally, Shivali has been commissioned to create a 7 x 9 Feet Mural painting at the Indian Heritage Centre in Singapore in 2014, and three ‘Warli’ Mural paintings for a community wall at Esplanade, Singapore in 2015. She has also displayed Rangoli Art at the Singapore Zoo and Bird Park in 2017 and conducted art activities at various Community centres and Schools in Singapore.

Shivali’s academic history includes a Diploma in Commercial Arts from Jaipur Polytechnic College (India) in 2000, a Master’s in arts – Sociology from Rajasthan University (India) in 1999, and a Bachelor of Arts from Rajasthan University (India) in 1999.
