Raka was born and educated in India and has been living in Hongkong, England & Singapore for the
past 28 years.
Mostly self-taught, with a keen eye for detail, she sketched extensively as a teenager and started
painting with oils in 1983. Later she switched to Acrylics in 2001.
She counts herself as blessed for having had an opportunity to view the Original Works of Masters at
The Louvre, The Prado, The Tate, The Armitage & The Sistine Chapel.
Raka is truly inspired by and strives to put down on canvas, the vibrant, ever-changing Colours of
Nature & Life which surround her wherever she goes.
